My friend, do you ever just get overwhelmed with all the responsibilities you have? Do you find it hard to let go of control? Are you trying to find balance with all of the responsibilities you have in your career, at home, church, time with family and friends? It can consume you and drain you right? Do you find that you have little time leftover for yourself? All of these are valid questions that God wants to answer for you.

Devoting Time for You and God

How about devoting time to spend with God?  I mean like time for just the two of you. It’s challenging at times, but my friend making time for just you and God can transform you. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10 (NKJV). Through the power of the Holy Spirit, as you read your Bible and hear sermons, or maybe a Christian song on the radio, you will learn just how deeply God truly loves you! You will look at Jesus’ ministry with a new set of eyes.

God’s Love is Stirring in Your Heart

Is your heart stirring and yearning to know God more intimately? You can. God’s waiting to reveal His love, mercy, forgiveness, comfort, and hope you can have in Him through the Holy Spirit. Are you ready to put your faith in God to transform you from the inside out?

Your Heart’s Desire

Are you thinking, my heart certainly has the desire, but I don’t have much time left over in a day to begin the journey with God. My friend, may I suggest that you pray and ask God  to show you how you can make time for just you and Him. He will show you areas in your life that can be shifted to spend more quality time with Him.

You might not be able to everyday, but getting started is key. You will be so glad you did my friend.  One day a week will grow into more and more time you spend with God as you read your Bible.

Spend Time With God Reading Your Bible

May I suggest that you get a study Bible? God will use it to help you understand His written word, put the passages in context, and see how God is exalted throughout the Bible. You will ask questions and He will answer. He renews your mind and makes unknown information have meaning that relates specifically to who God knows you to be. He will speak directly to your circumstances through the circumstances of others that you read about in your Bible. Spending time with God more and more builds your faith, trust, hope and confidence in Him. When you draw close to God, you enter into a close relationship with God.

Building Your Relationship With God Through the Power of the Holy Spirit

The most important relationship you build will be the relationship you have with God.  On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7: 37-38 NKJV. As God’s love overflows in you, His love will overflow through you to others.  As you study your Bible and read the letters that Paul, Matthew, Luke, John, Peter, etc. wrote, ask God to show you how His love overflows in them and through them. You can have hope in God. That is, you can expect God to do good things in you and through you.

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4: 16-19 (NIV)

Overcoming Your Fears, Uncertainties, and Anxieties

Your fears and uncertainties, he knows them, God wants to show you how to be confident in who He created you to be when you come to Him and admit to your fears and anxieties. He will help you as you draw near to Him. Are you ready to restart your journey through life with God? My friend, he’s waiting for you with all the love He has for you. Will you choose to follow Him?
